The Office of Public Affairs coordinates presentations and recognitions by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors at its regular meetings.

Fairfax County Police Department
The Board of Supervisors will recognize the Police Department for receiving the International Association of Chiefs of Police 2011 National Law Enforcement Award, as well as the Underage Alcohol Awareness Award in the special category and also for receiving the Occupant Protection Award, Underage Alcohol Awareness Award and Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety Award in the 20011 Virginia Law Enforcement Challenge.

LINK
The Board of Supervisors will recognize LINK for its 40th anniversary and contributions to western Fairfax County and eastern Loudoun County communities.

Wetland Studies and Solutions
Department of Public Works and Environmental Services
The Board of Supervisors will recognize Wetland Studies and Solutions and staff from the Department of Public Works and Environmental Services Stormwater Management Program for their work on the Government Center Stream Restoration Project.

Adoption Awareness Month
The Board of Supervisors will designate November as Adoption Awareness Month in Fairfax County.

George C. Marshall High School Day
The Board of Supervisors will designate Nov. 9, as George C. Marshall High School Day in Fairfax County.

VolunteerFest Day
The Board of Supervisors will designate Oct. 27, as VolunteerFest Day in Fairfax County.
