Achievement Awards
The Board of Supervisors recognized Fairfax County programs that won 2012 Achievement Awards from the National Association of Counties.

Housing and Community Development
The Board of Supervisors recognized the Fairfax County Department of Housing and Community Development for receiving awards from the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials and the National Association of Counties.

Pets on Wheels
The Board of Supervisors recognized Fairfax Pets on Wheels for its 25th anniversary.

Braddock Road Youth Club ‘98
The Board of Supervisors recognized the Braddock Road Youth Club ’98 for winning the 2012 Virginia Youth Soccer Association state championship.

George Towery
The Board of Supervisors recognized George Towery for his years of service to Fairfax County.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Voter Registration Week
The Board of Supervisors designated Sept. 25-Oct. 2, as Voter Registration Week in Fairfax County.

Sister City
The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors and officials from Keçiröen, Ankara, Turkey, signed a Sister City Protocol Memorandum of Understanding.
