Board of Supervisors Retreat 2012
The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors has scheduled a retreat for Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 6-7, 2012, at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton.
This two-day meeting will be an opportunity for Fairfax County’s 12th urban county Board of Supervisors to discuss challenges and priorities and set a course of action for a sustainable future that will ensure the overall health and well-being of Fairfax County.
The informal setting will allow board members time to discuss their views on issues and to focus on priorities for protecting and enriching the quality of life for residents, neighborhoods and diverse communities.
There will be no formal action taken during the retreat. Many of the ideas and concepts discussed will serve as a framework for the board's agenda during the next four years.
The topics to be discussed include:
- Identification of common themes
- Fairfax County: The Rating Agencies’ Perspective
- County Executive’s Perspective
- Fairfax County: Our Financial Outlook, Transportation and Capital Challenges and Opportunities
- Fairfax County: The Next Planning Horizon
- Fairfax County: Sustaining a Culture of Engagement
Additional items will be added to this page during and after the retreat.
