Admission & Fees - Adult Day Health Care
Entrusting a family member to new care providers is a difficult decision. That's why our admission process is designed to create a smooth and supportive transition, answering all of your questions along the way. Our goal is to build a successful partnership between you, your loved one and the staff at Adult Day Health Care centers.
Who Is Eligible to Attend?
- Adults 18 and older who require supervision during the day at least two days per week due to physical and/or cognitive impairments, including all types of dementia. (Participants may attend one day per week during a 30-day trial period).
- Residents of Fairfax County and the Cities of Fairfax and Falls Church (residents from other jurisdictions may be considered if space allows).
- Participants must be able to transfer with the assistance of no more than one person and be able to feed themselves
What is the Cost?
Fees are based on a daily sliding fee scale ($16 - $107 per day), which is determined by the client's (and spouse's, if married) gross income and 2% of assets excluding residence.
Long Term Care Community-Based Medicaid covers the service for those that qualify, and many Long Term Care Insurance policies will cover ADHC services.
Compare Our Fees
Some of our participants met the criteria for more restrictive long-term care facilities. Our centers offer high quality care at a fraction of the cost of other local alternatives. ADHC is as much as 75% less expensive than the average cost of nursing home care.
