Assessment Mission
The Local Public Health
Systems Assessment (LPHSA) evaluates the collective performance of all
the organizations and entities that contribute to the public's health.
The LPHSA measures how well the 10 Essential Public Health Services are being delivered in the community. In November 2008, 89 members of the local public health system gathered at the Fairfax County Health Department to participate in the LPHSA assessment.
