 HOW TO BECOME A DONOR?

You may designate your donation wishes in one of THREE ways:

1. You may indicate your intent to become an organ/tissue donor on your driver's license.
2. You may register on the Virginia donor registry: www.Save7lives.org
3. You may carry a donor card indicating your wishes.

It is always wise to TELL YOUR FAMILY OR HEALTH CARE PROXY your wishes. That's because, after your death, they will be asked for either medical information to facilitate your wishes, or if there is no record of your donor designation, they will be asked for their authorization to donate. And if they know your wishes now, they will be better prepared to honor your request.
