Post-exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) Reminders
- Call the Rabies Coordinator at 703-246-2433 for help with exposure assessment.

Call Fairfax County Animal Control
at 703-691-2131 to report animal bites. - Determine if the biting animal can be quarantined before giving PEP.
- Rabies immune globulin should not be given to previously vaccinated people.
- Report PEP using the Epi-1 form or by calling 703-246-2433.
