The Homeownership & Relocation Services Division is the unit of the Fairfax County Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) that is charged with bringing affordable homebuying opportunities to Fairfax County's eligible first-time homebuyers. The Homeownership Division provides homebuyer counseling, hosts homebuying education classes, and has programs that offer affordably priced homes, mortgage and downpayment and closing cost assistance.
The Homeownership Resource Center (AKA "the Storefront") provides access to both computers and staff members to help first-time homebuyers in their home search. The Storefront is located in the Redevelopment Housing Authority Building at 3700 Pender Drive, Fairfax, Virginia.

The FTHB is a component of the Affordable Dwelling Unit Program (ADU) and
provides homeownership opportunities to moderate income households.

As of August 1, 2007 an allocation of $15,000,000 has been awarded to Fairfax County.
As of August 17, 2007, the 1/2 % SPARC funds have all been reserved.
