families and 15 single adults) moved into permanent housing
from emergency shelters and transitional housing
programs.

2012 Point-in-Time Count Highlights
There were 1,534 people counted this year in the
Fairfax-Falls Church community who were homeless on the night
of January 25, 2012. This is a reduction of one
percent (15 people) from the number reported in
the January 2011 Point-in-Time Count. >>

Family Shelter Intake Redesign
As of March 30, 2012 the Fairfax-Falls Church Partnership to
Prevent and End Homelessness has implemented new policies
and procedures to ensure that those who are homeless
receive shelter quickly and to increase prevention efforts
for families at risk of experiencing homelessness. >> more
