$7.81 to $13.08/hour, no benefits (Grade S02)

Multiple positions are available at Fairfax County Park Authority golf courses (listed in the "To Apply" section below). Performs general golf and park maintenance to grounds, turf and facilities. Operates various golf course grounds maintenance and mowing equipment. Participates in the planting and maintenance of ornamental flower beds, trees and shrubs. Removes leaves and debris. Changes golf course holes, rotates tee markers, services water coolers and ball washers. Rakes and edges sand bunkers. Completes minor building maintenance tasks.

Work hours: 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with occasional overtime and weekend hours as needed.

Note: If full-time, selected applicant will be required to take a four-week break in service after 48 weeks. Benefits are not available for these positions.

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Education and experience equivalent to completion of the eighth grade. Experience performing routine, unskilled labor may be substituted for the educational requirements on a year-to-year basis.

Special Requirements: Valid driver’s license. The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check to the satisfaction of employer.
