About Supervisor Catherine M. Hudgins
Catherine M. Hudgins is serving
her third term on the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors and is also
serving as Chair the Human Services and the Housing and Community
Development Committees for the County. Supervisor Hudgins finds her
greatest satisfaction assisting constituents obtain services critical to
maintaining more sustainable lives. She was honored for her
leadership and work in mental health and affordable housing.
Supervisor Hudgins serves on several regional and state boards, which include 2009 Vice Chairman of Northern Virginia Transportation Commission, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, 2007 Chairman of the National Capital Region Transportation Planning Board, the Virginia Association of Counties, the State Board of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services, the Commonwealth Commission on Mental Health Law Reform, and the Secretary/Treasurer of the Board of Director for the Virginia Association of Counties.
She holds an Masters of Public Administration degree from George Mason University and and BS degree in mathematics education from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
