Agenda for upcoming meeting:  March 19, 2013 (revised 3-18-2013)

  • Approve February meeting minutes.
  • St. Mark Catholic Church, located at 9970 Vale Road, Tax Map reference: 37-4 ((1)) parcel 42, has filed a Special Exception (SEA 00-H-028) to make minor modifications to the approved Development Conditions.  1) Extend the nursery school hours one hour in the morning to 8:00 a.m. and two and one-half hours in the afternoon to 3:30 p.m.  2) Extend outdoor playing fields hours an hour in the morning from 9 a.m. to 8 a.m. until sunset. 3) Institute a hot meals program.  The application was previously presented to the committee on February 19, 2013.  A Planning Commission public hearing is scheduled for Thursday, May 9, 2013, at 8:15 p.m.  Board of Supervisors' public hearing has been expedited for May 14, 2013 at 3:30 p.m.
  • Oakcrest School, Tax Map 18-4 ((1)) parcel 26C; 18-4 ((8)) parcel 4, A, has filed a Special Exception Amendment (SEA 2009-DR-008 previously Dranesville District) to revise SE Plat and Development Conditions for a traffic signal as a replacement for traffic control at the intersection of Crowell and Hunter Mill Road.  This application was previously presented on January 25th and February 19, 2013.  The Planning Commission public hearing is now scheduled for Thursday, May 9, 2013 at 8:15 p.m.  
  • (CANCELLED)  T-Mobile and Milestone Communications has filed a 2232-H13-2 application for a wireless telecommunications facility at A. Scott Crossfield Elementary School, 2791 Fox Mill Road, Herndon. The proposal is for a 130' tall pole that will be camouflaged to look like a tree (treepole).  For information regarding this proposal you may visit www.crossfieldwirelesspole.com.  This application will only have a Planning Commission public hearing, which is scheduled for May 22, 2013 is being rescheduled for a later date to allow for additional outreach to the community.
  • Approve next meeting date (April 16th) and adjourn.
