 North County Governmental Center Construction

Construction for the North County Government Center will be done in phases over the next 22 months.  Supervisor Hudgins' office and the Reston Police Station will move into the new building Summer 2014.   Following is a projected timeline for the completion of each phase:

  • Phase 1:  Contractor mobilization and site work
    • Complete Summer 2013
  • Phase 2:  Construct new building for Reston Police Station and Hunter Mill Supervisor's Office
    • Complete Summer 2014
  • Phase 3:  Demolish existing building, construct public parking lot and new fuel station
    • Complete Fall 2014
  • Phase 4:  Construct remainder of secure police parking lot
    • Complete Winter 2014.

Parking in the North County Governmental Center lot will be limited during the construction period, however, street parking will remain available.
