Siddharta (Sid) Chowdhary BIO - ITPAC


Mr. Siddhartha (Sid) Chowdhary is the founder and CEO of Credence Management Solutions LLC, a successful and fast-growing business providing management and IT consulting, strategy, and advisory services to government agencies. Credence has been recognized as one of the fastest growing businesses by multiple organizations. Recent awards include – Inc 500|5000, Fast 50 Asian American Business, Top 100 Minority Business Enterprise, and Top 100 Private Business in DC.

Sid previously co-founded another technology services firm, and held executive positions with multiple technology companies, where he was instrumental in their development and successful exit.

Sid has been appointed by Fairfax Country Supervisor John W. Foust to serve as the Dranesville District Representative on the Fairfax County Information Technology Policy Advisory Committee (ITPAC).

Sid is very active in the technology and entrepreneurship community—He currently serves on the Board of the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce (FCCC), PAN-IIT USA, and is the past-chair of the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) Business-to-Government Committee.

Sid also serves as one of the co-chairs of the FCCC’s Entrepreneurship Council whose mission is to enhance, promote, and facilitate the growth of entrepreneurial organizations in the Northern Virginia area. Sid is also the president of PAN-IIT, an umbrella organization representing an alumni network of the most recognizable symbol of India's intellectual excellence, achievement and leadership: the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) system. PanIIT has been honored by the US House of Representatives (HR 227) for economic innovation attributable to graduates of the IITs.

Sid has been selected as one of the 2010 “Minority Business Leaders” by the Washington Business Journal and the 2010 “50 Powerful Minority Men in Business” by the Minority Enterprise Executive Council. He was also cited as 1105 Government Information Group's “Rising Stars: The Class of 2008 - the up and coming in the government IT community,” and recognized at the 21st Annual Government Computing News (GCN) Awards for “Outstanding Information Technology Achievement in Government.”

Sid is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, and an attendee at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government and Carnegie Mellon University’s Software Engineering Institute (SEI) executive education programs.
