Mr. Luke Chung BIO - ITPAC
Luke Chung is the President and founder of FMS (www.fmsinc.com), a software development firm located in Tysons Corner. Founded in 1986, FMS offers database solutions to help organizations make better decisions. FMS offers commercial off-the-shelf products related to Microsoft Access, SQL Server, and Visual Studio. They’ve also created a wide range of custom solutions for commercial and government clients on Windows, Web and mobile devices. Solutions include a global humanitarian relief logistics system for the Pan American Health Organization and systems to manage tasks, events, documents, accreditation, and education. The FMS Advanced Systems Group (www.fmsasg.com) offers a product for the intelligence, defense, and law enforcement communities to find hidden relationships among conspirators. This led to an investment from InQTel, the CIA’s venture capital arm.
Luke has directed the company’s product development and consulting services efforts for 30 years. In addition to being a primary author and designer of many FMS commercial products, Luke has personally provided consulting services to a wide range of clients. Luke is a popular speaker at conferences in the US, Europe and Australia, and has published many industry articles. He is a past president of the Washington, DC chapter of the Entrepreneurs Organization (EO Network), served on the Fairfax County School Superintendent's Business and Community Advisory Council for several years, and is in his 3rd term on ITPAC. Luke is a graduate of Harvard with a Bachelor degree in Engineering and Applied Sciences, and a master’s in Physical Oceanography. He lives in McLean with his wife and two daughters.
