Find fun things for both children and adults to do in Lee District.
Visit Lee District RECenter and check out the Olympic-sized heated indoor pool with poolside spa, saunas, locker rooms, racquetball and walleyball courts, a fitness room with Cybex VR2 equipment, dance room, and an arts and crafts room. The Center also has a 20,000 square foot gymnasium with basketball and volleyball courts and an indoor track. The surrounding park has tennis courts, a variety of ballfields, a playground and tot lot, carousel, amphitheater, and picnic areas suitable for large groups.
If you feel like taking a nature walk, then Huntley Meadows Park is your place to go! Nestled in Fairfax County's Hybla Valley, Huntley Meadows Park is a rich, natural island in the suburban sea of Northern Virginia. Its 1,425 acres harbor majestic forests, wildflower-speckled meadows and vast wetlands bursting with life.
Every June marks the beginning of Lee District Nights, a series of free public concerts featuring a wide variety of musical acts from jazz to big band, classic to bluegrass, and swing to folk and vintage rock ‘n roll. We encourage you to enjoy an al fresco musical evening with family and friends in the Lee District Amphitheater. Bring a picnic dinner and a blanket and sit back and enjoy the show. Springfield Days is a community wide celebration that takes place the weekend after Memorial Day each year in the heart of Springfield, Virginia. Four days of fun for the whole family!
