The community room in the Franconia Governmental Center can hold 80 people. It has a built-in blackboard and a viewing screen, three tack boards, and a small kitchenette for light refreshments.
It is scheduled on a first come - first served basis and is for nonprofit groups. There are no fees charged and it is heavily used, so please schedule well in advance and call for availability before filling out the form. Reservations for the following year open in September of the current year.
There have been changes in the rules and regulations for the use of the rooms countywide, so please go to our Community Room Rules and Regulations Page for specific regulations governing room usage.
To apply for use, ask about room availability by calling Christina Ritter at 703-971-6262, then print out the Community Room Form and fax it to the attention of Ms.Ritter at 703-971-3032 or e-mail to Christina.Ritter@fairfaxcounty.gov. You must fill in and submit a form for each date requested.
