If you have never had a Fairfax County Public Library card, please use this form.

If you already have a Fairfax County Public Library card and need to update your information, please use our Library Card Information Change form.

*Note!* Your information will be entered into the library's accounts database within three business days and the card will be mailed to you. You may be asked to show identification and proof of address the next time you check out library materials. If you would like to receive a library card immediately, bring your identification and proof of address to a library branch. Printable library card application forms are available if you wish to fill one out in advance.

You must supply a street address. If you wish to use a P.O. Box to receive overdue notices or other written communication, you must add that address in person at any library branch.

To register as a Fairfax County borrower, you must show proof of meeting eligibility requirements. If your home address is outside Fairfax County, you will be entered as a reciprocal patron. If your county of residence is not specifically listed above, you may apply for a non-resident card at the cost of $27.00 per year.

Registration for a Library Card:

-	Library cards are free of charge.
-	Cards may be used at any of the 23 Fairfax County Public Library locations.
-	Proof of home address is required. Please see eligibility requirements.
-	Replacement cards are available for a $2.00 fee.
