The Fairfax County Public Library Board of Trustees will honor 34 volunteers and two community partners at a special awards ceremony at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9 at the George Mason Regional Library, located at 7001 Little River Turnpike in Annandale.

Others to be honored include volunteers who have reached service milestones, such as Machmer Wellington who has volunteered more than 5,000 hours at Access Services, as well as Frank Passuth, Jane Seeman and Barbara Sherman who have donated more than 3,000 hours respectively at the City of Fairfax Regional Library, the Patrick Henry Library and the Sherwood Regional Library.

In addition, “Exceptional Service” volunteers will be recognized for outstanding projects such as organizing an English conversation group; a Pokemon League for youngsters; and helping to reorganize children’s series’ books.
