Fairfax County Public Library branches throughout the county will host a League of Women Voters’ exhibit from April – September to celebrate the Fairfax area chapter’s 60th anniversary.
“As the Fairfax County Public Library approaches its 70th anniversary, we are honored to help the League of Women Voters of the Fairfax Area celebrate their six decades of civic engagement,” says Library Director Edwin S. Clay III. “Our institutions share many similar goals in providing helpful information to the residents of Fairfax County.”
After a brief period at the Fairfax County Government Center March
31-April 6, the display, which highlight’s the chapter’s accomplishments over six decades, will rotate to library branches.
“We are very pleased that the library system is playing a prominent part in our celebration ‘60 Years Strong – Needed Now More than Ever!’ ” says League Acting President, Mary Grace Lintz. “Our work with the libraries has been a long and productive relationship.”
