Cal Thomas is America’s most widely syndicated op-ed columnist, appearing in over 600 newspapers nationwide. He is a 36-year veteran of broadcast and print journalism and currently is a panelist on “Fox News Watch.” Thomas has authored over 10 books, including The Wit and Wisdom of Cal Thomas. Beckel spent years in the White House, on Capitol Hill and leading dozen of election campaigns, including Walter Mondale’s 1984 presidential campaign. He appears regularly on network newscasts, including guest host on “Larry King Live” and cable shows, including “Crossfire Sunday” with host Lynn Cheney; he teaches at George Washington University.

The Perspective Series is cosponsored by the Fairfax County Public Library’s Center for the Book, Fairfax Library Foundation and the McLean Community Center.
