Spy novelist Daniel Silva will discuss “The Undercover Life of an Espionage Writer” at 7:30 p.m. on October 14 in the Board Auditorium of the Fairfax County Government Center, 12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax, VA 22035. The event is sponsored by the Fairfax County Public Library Center for the Book.

Silva is the author of 11 suspense novels, including The Kill Artist, The Secret Servant and his most recent, the New York Times bestseller, Moscow Rules. He has been compared to novelists John le Carré and Graham Greene and called his generation’s finest writer of international intrigue.
Silva began his career as a journalist, first working for United Press International
in San Francisco, Washington and as Middle East correspondent in Cairo and
the Persian Gulf before moving to CNN. After the success of his first novel,
The Unlikely Spy in 1997, he became a full-time writer. All his books have been New York Times and national bestsellers and have also been translated
