published in 2005. The Big Steal was just released. Both
are set in Virginia.
- A former antiques appraiser, she wrote a

- In a recent interview,
Jenkins said: “My whole life I’ve been fascinated
by how people express themselves through their furnishings . . . Along
these lines, I’ve always loved books that used ‘things’ to
explain something about a character. Of course the best-known such scene
is Miss Haversham’s dining room still set for the wedding that
never occurred.”
