- Local mystery writer Ed Lynskey lives in Annandale, Virginia.
He is the author of the recently published, The Blue Cheer and
The Dirt Brown Derby,
both feature his P.I. Frank Johnson. Other books in the series include
Pelham Fell Here and Troglodytes.
- Lynskey has worked in the defense industry, including 18 years on the
production and development of Stinger missiles. Such a missile figures prominently in
The Blue Cheer.

Magazine and his book reviews and other work have appeared in the Atlantic Monthly, the
New York Times and the Washington Post.
