Access Services

The mission of Access Services is to remove barriers to library service for people with disabilities. Library services are available for people with physical disabilities including people who are blind or visually impaired, deaf or hard of hearing, homebound, or disabled, and their family, friends and caregivers. The various categories of services/information include: media, fact sheets, the Loud and Clear Newsletter, and Talking Book Services. Access Services.

Talking Book Services
Fairfax County Public Library (FCPL), which is associated with the National Library Service (NLS), administers the Talking Books program, which loans books and magazines on cassette tape, in Braille, and in print/Braille to certified users of the Talking Books program. Talking Books Services Guidelines are available online. An application for the Talking Books Free library Service is also available for printing. You will need to install the Acrobat Reader to view and print this file.
