Audio-described videos are only loaned to Talking Book patrons.

Videotapes with “descriptive narration” are popular movies that have been specially enhanced for people with visual impairments. During pauses in the dialogue, a narrator describes the scenery, costumes and actions that appear on the screen.

Audio-described videos may be delivered to Talking Books patrons by free mail or may be selected and borrowed at Access Services, Government Center Suite 123. The loan period is three weeks. Videos may be returned by free mail or may be returned to any Fairfax County library branch.
