From the East (Tysons Corner, Falls Church, McLean):
Take the Dulles Toll Road (Rt. 267) to the Herndon-Chantilly exit. Exit
right onto Elden Street.
Take Elden Street 1.5 miles (through 6 traffic lights) to Center Street,
which is one block beyond the light at Elden and Grace Street.
Turn left onto Center Street; proceed 1-1/2 blocks to the library on right.
From the North (Sterling, Great Falls, Leesburg):
Take Rt. 7 to Dranesville Road (Rt. 228). Proceed south on Dranesville
Road to Park Avenue.
Turn right on Park to Monroe Street.
Turn left on Monroe to Elden Street.
Turn right on Elden to Center Street.
Turn right on Center; proceed 1-1/2 blocks to the library on the right.
From the West and Southwest (Centreville,
Chantilly):
Take Rt. 28 north to Sterling Road (Rt. 606).
Turn right on Sterling Road (Rt. 606) to Elden Street.
Turn left onto Elden Street to Herndon. Take Elden Street to Center
Street.
Turn left onto Center Street; proceed 1-1/2 blocks to the library on the right.
From the South (Fairfax, Springfield, Burke):
Take Rt. 66 or Rt. 50 to the Fairfax County Parkway.
Turn north on Fairfax County Parkway to Spring Street.
At the bottom of the ramp, turn right onto Spring Street. Take Spring
Street to Elden Street.
Turn left onto Elden Street.
Turn right onto Center Street; proceed 1-1/2 blocks to the
library on the right.

Parking:
Parking is available in the lot to the left of the library, in the parking garage to the rear of the library, or on Center Street. The library is handicapped-accessible from the lower level.
Public Transportation:
Fairfax Connector Route 5S travels from Tysons
Shopping Center, west on Leesburg Pike, across north Reston, and west on
Baron Cameron Avenue/Elden Street, stopping near the Herndon
Library.
Fairfax Connector Routes 5V, 5Y, and 5Z come to Grace
Street which is one block west of the Herndon Library.
