JERUSALEM BAPTIST CHURCH

5420 Ox Rd., Fairfax Station, Va.

The church was organized in 1840 and began meeting in "Paynes Church," a brick (episcopal) church built c. 1760. The brick structure was destroyed during the Civil War and replaced by a white frame church. Few antebellum gravestones survive, but there are 40+ headstones and an unknown number of unmarked graves.
