Coffer Family Cemetery

Located on common ground behind 10050 Woods Sorrell Ln., Burke, Va.

A 1969 survey conducted by the Pioneer America Society's Tony Wrenn describes a 54' x 60' fence surrounding three graves with both head and footstones. Thick undergrowth hid any additional burials. A followup visit in 1987 found the gravestone of HULDAH COFFER protected by a 15' x 15' wooden fence, no other stones evident. The underbrush and generally poor condition of the site made an estimate of unmarked burials difficult. The cemetery is wooded and receives little maintenance.
