SLAVE CEMETERY - SALONA


1214 Buchanan St., McLean, Va.


"Salona" was built c. 1805 by Rev. WILLIAM MAFFITT (1769-1828). The slave cemetery is located under a solitary tree about 220' south of the main house. There are thought to be at least 12 burials dating from c. 1810 through c. 1856. No headstones are present.
