McCarty Family

8600 ACCOTINK RD., LORTON

The cemetery was located in a stand of trees about 300' north of the "Mount Air" main house ruin, and about 100' east of the driveway. The tombstones were removed to the McCarty Cemetery at "Cedar Grove" and later moved again to Pohick Episcopal Church, where the single surviving gracestone can be found on the east side of the church. It was unclear whether any bodies were removed with the stones. The grove was overgrown with poison ivy.
