Center for the Book.

The Center for the Book is affiliated with the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities and the Center for the Book in the Library of Congress. Three projects produced by the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities include the Festival for the Book, Letters About Literature, and The Big Read for which free downloadable resource guides are available.

The activities of the Fairfax County Public Library's Center for the Book include forming partnerships with private and public entities to advance books and reading through author and literary events, public and corporate workshops, expositions, discussion series, seminars, and other programs and events related to books and reading.

The Center for the Book is supported in part by the Fairfax Library Foundation, grants, donations, and gifts from individuals. Its activities are supplemented by in-kind contributions and volunteers.
