NetLibrary makes available access to thousands of eBooks and hundreds of eAudiobooks on a wide variety of subjects. After you log on you will need to create an account with NetLibrary. Titles are listed in the NetLibrary online catalog.

eBooks may be read on your PC or laptop using your Web browser. They may not be downloaded or copied to a CD.

eAudiobooks may be enjoyed on your Windows computer and may be downloaded to selected portable Windows-compatible mp3 players. They may not be copied to CDs. NetLibrary eAudiobooks cannot be used with Ipods. For information regarding permitted uses of downloaded audiobooks, please see the Terms of Use.

NetLibrary offers an online introduction which will help you get started.

 

How to create an account with netLibrary.

  1. Click on "Log on" above.
  2. Enter your library card number and click Enter.
  3. Click on "Create a Free Account" in the top right corner. (If you do not see "Create a Free Account", please contact the library's Ask A Librarian service.)
  4. Fill out netLibrary's form and click on "Create Account."

Already have an account?

  1. Click on "Log on" at the top of this page.
  2. Enter your library card number and click Enter.
  3. Use the Search or Browse feature to locate a book you would like to hear.
  4. Click Show Details and then click Download this Audiobook.
  5. Select Checkout & Download CD Quality.
  6. Select Save to Your Computer.
  7. Save the file on your desktop. Downloading should take less than 30 minutes with a highspeed connection.
  8. If your MP3 player requires software to transfer files, the software must be loaded on your computer.
  9. Plug the USB connection into the MP3 player and the computer. Turn on the MP3 player.
  10. Double click the audiobook icon on your desktop. A pop-up confirming license acquisition may appear. If it does, click Cancel to continue.
  11. Consult the user’s manual for your MP3 player, if necessary, for instructions on downloading files.
