Accessible Archives© provides on-line full text search capability of archived historical information previously furnished only on microfilm. Source materials from the 18th and 19th century include The Virginia Gazette (1736-1780), The Pennsylvania Genealogical Catalogue (Chester County 1809-1870), South Carolina Newspapers (1732 - 1780) and perspectives on the Civil War.

American Physical Society. Log on

The American Physical Society (APS) provides free access to all online APS journals, from the most recent articles back to the first issue in 1893, to readers and researchers accessing their collection from inside public library buildings in the United States. This collection includes over 400,000 scientific research papers. Available only in library branches.

ProQuest. Log on

Ancestry Library Edition provides a wide range of resources for genealogical and historical research. It includes records from the U.S. Census; military records; court, land and probate records; vital and church records; directories; petitions for naturalization; passenger lists and more. Available only in library branches.

Consumers' Checkbook. Log on
Consumers' CHECKBOOK provides articles published in Washington Consumers' CHECKBOOK as well as CHECKBOOK'S Guide to Top Doctors, Guide to Hospitals, and Guide to Health Plans (non-federal), and Car Deals publications. Available only in library branches.

The New England Historic Genealogical Society (NEHGS) provides access to genealogical resources for the United States, Canada and Europe, but primarily covers New England and New York.
