America’s Next Top Dog – Fashion Photo Contest
March 1- March 30, Patrick Henry Library
Move over Lassie, there’s a new pup in town! Bring in a photo of your dog (real or plush) decked out in the latest fashions, and your pooch could be awarded the title “America’s Next Top Dog.” For complete contest rules, including photo guidelines, dates and prizes, stop by the library’s information desk.

Living with Kids and Dogs
March 16, 2 p.m., Kings Park Library
Author Colleen Pelar will discuss her book and how to be your dog's best friend with a focus on body language, relationships and dog behavior problems. Book signing to follow. Adults and teens.

Stories, songs and fun activities about dogs. Age 1-5 with adult.

Virginia Search and Rescue Dog Show
March 26, 10:30 a.m., Pohick Regional Library
Learn about wilderness safety and what to do if you get lost. Presented by David Wyttenbach and Virginia Search and Rescue K9 Sirius Black. Cosponsored by the Friends of the Pohick Regional Library. All ages.
