Mission Statement
The purpose of this organization is to maintain an association of
persons interested in promoting public library services and related
activities for the residents of Vienna, Virginia and the surrounding
area.
Accomplishments
Funds raised by the Friends' two books sales per year buy needed extras
for our branch, such as:
Shelving
Banners
Revolving book racks
Children’s program support
ViVa! Vienna! Booth
Volunteer appreciation events
Meeting Room Tables
Paging System
Support for History Fairfax County Government Canopy for events
System Furniture workroom lights
Book display units
Circulation desk
Signage
Benches and planters
Membership
Anyone may join.
Book Sales
Two mega book sales will be held in 2012. The spring sale is March 31 -
April 1, and the fall sale is Nov. 3 and 4. An ongoing book sale is
available in the library during all open hours.
Donation Process
Donations of books in good condition are welcomed. We do not accept
magazines, Readers' Digests, textbooks or books that are in poor
condition.
