Pohick Library.The charter meeting of the Friends of the Pohick Regional Library was held in March 1988. The organization was granted 501(C)(3) status in 1998. The current officers view the book sales not only as a way to provide revenue for the Library, but as a service that is truly appreciated by the community. They see their role as a partnership with the staff of the Pohick Regional Library, Library Administration and the community.

Mission Statement:  

The purpose of the organization is to maintain an association of persons and organizations interested in libraries and to cooperate with the Fairfax County Public Library in developing public library services and facilities for the Pohick region.

  • Scholarship Funds
  • Popcorn Machine for Movie Programs
  • Landscaping Supplies
  • Steel Shelving
  • Book Trucks
  • Stanchions

Membership:  

Membership is open to all who support the purpose of the group.
Individual membership: $10.00
Family membership: $15.00
Business and organizational membership: $25.00
Student Membership: $2.00

 

Meeting Dates:  

Quarterly on the third Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the Pohick Regional Library.

 

Book Sales:  

Choice selections offered at Pohick Regional Library on:
Friday, May 2, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Saturday, May 3, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Sunday, May 4, 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.


Donation Process:  

Donations of books in good condition and magazines published within the last 12 months are appreciated. Donations of encyclopedias or textbooks more than 10 years old are not accepted.General information on donations of books.
