The Friends of the Virginia Room organized on April 4, 2009. Our newly formed volunteer organization supports the Virginia Room, at the City of Fairfax Regional Library, in providing and encouraging access to information on local, regional and Virginia history; genealogical information focused on Virginia and Fairfax County's diverse community and local and state legal materials.
Our members can take an active part in the Friends of the Virginia Room by volunteering to staff positions in the organization, by giving money, time and book donations. | Accomplishments |
Through sales of new and revised publications and donated books on Virginia and local history, the Civil War or genealogy, we provide new books, subscriptions, programs and equipment to the customers and staff of the Virginia Room.
