How to Find a Book
Looking for a book? Follow these steps and you'll be reading it in no time!
1. On the Catalog entry page, select the "Go to the catalog now!" link.

2. Enter your library card number and password OR start
your search.
We recommend you enter your library card number and password
using the login boxes at the top right of the screen to prevent
re-entering them repeatedly throughout your visit.
3. To begin searching,
1: Type your search term in the "Search For" box.
2: Select the search method (one of the blue buttons).
3: If you want to find an item from our entire collection, choose
"All" from the "Branch:" box. To see just what a
particular branch has, choose a branch from the drop-down list.
4.This is the result of a search for Skipping Christmas.
It shows four formats of the item: eaudiobook, compact disc (CD), large
print (LP), and regular print. Locate the format you want. If there is a
"Place Hold" button, you can place a hold by selecting that
button. You will be notified, either by
e-mail or telephone, when your book is available for you to pick
up.
5. If you want more information, select the
"Details" button. "Details" include branches that have
copies, gives the status of each copy, provides information about the
total number of holds currently placed on the item, and allows you to
place a hold for the item. To place a hold, select the words "Place
Hold" on the right of the screen. You will be notified, either by
e-mail or telephone, when your book is available for you to pick
up.
You did it!
