World Health Day on April 7 marks the founding of the World Health Organization. It is an occasion which attempts to draw worldwide attention to a subject of major importance to global health each year. The 2008 theme focuses on the need to protect health from the adverse effects of climate change. The aim of World Health Day is to urge governments, organizations and businesses to, "Invest in health, build a safer future."
