The Washington Redskins (nicknamed The Skins) are a professional
football team based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan
area. The team was established in Boston in 1932 but the team was moved
to Washington, D.C. in 1937. Since 1997 the team has been playing at
FedEx Field, located in Landover, Maryland and is headquartered and
trains at Redskins Park in Ashburn, Virginia.
The Redskins have won two National Football League championships and three Super
Bowl championships. The team colors are burgundy, gold, and white.
