A Public Service Announcement*
video/audio competition cosponsored with the Fairfax County Public Library

Open to
Students in 6th, 7th and 8th grade
High school students
Adults and teams

Multiple cash prizes will be awarded

* A public service announcement (PSA) is a non-commercial message, presented for the public good to raise awareness about a specific issue.

Awards
The For Love of Country Foundation will award multiple prizes. (There may be more than one winner in each category.)

• $100 and a Gold Certificate
• $50 and a Silver Certificate
• $25 and a Bronze Certificate
• Certificates of Merit

Selected Gold Certificate winners will work with professionals to have their PSAs produced on professional equipment and broadcast by CW Washington.

Prizes will be awarded at a For Love of Country awards ceremony in August.

Judging criteria
Winners will be selected based on written submissions. Video and audio PSA submissions will be judged on:

• Impact
• Accuracy
• Creativity
• Clarity and coherence
• Adherence to the 30 second or 60 second time requirement
