rating feature that reports the financial condition
of banks, thrifts and credit unions. Free financial
statements and memorandums are available by
type of institution and then refined by
other criteria.
FDIC's Financial Institution Directory The FDIC gathers data
about individual financial institutions and
the banking industry. The FDIC Institution Directory
is a searchable database that allows users to
find the latest financial data, performance
ratings, and branch locations for individual
financial institutions insured by the FDIC.
National Information Center Information about domestic
and foreign banking organizations operating
in the United States. You can learn about a
bank's financial information, corporate structure,
and branch locations. The Web site is a product
of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve
System.
Banking My Way This site lists the best
rates for CD's, loans, mortgages and more based
on your zip code.
Bankrate.com Formerly Bank Rate Monitor,
this site monitors a wide range of interest rates —
mortgage, savings, credit card, home loan and more.
CalculatorPLUS.com Calculate the monthly payments
on your auto loan or mortgage, see amortization schedules,
determine income from retirement savings and more.
Bureau of Labor Statistics Provides information on national
employment and unemployment rates, employment costs,
wages by area and occupation, productivity information,
consumer spending, business and manufacturing, and
other economic statistics.
Economic Indicators.gov Provides access to the daily
releases of key economic indicators from the Bureau
of Economic Analysis and the U.S. Census Bureau.
GPO Access.gov Provides monthly compilations
of U.S. government data on prices, wages, production,
business activity, credit, etc. from 1995 to the present.

and orders; E-stats; construction; manufacturing;

Foreign Trade Statistics Statistics include current,

partners and a profile of U.S. exporting companies.
Consumer Price Index Provides current consumer price
index information and a link to an inflation calculator
which compares the current buying power of a selected
amount of money as far back as 1913.

Minneapolis provides historical consumer price index
and inflation rates,
1913 to the present, and a link to consumer
price index and inflation rates (estimate),

Federal Reserve Archival System for Economic Research The FRASER Web site contains
links to scanned images (PDF format) of historical
economic statistical publications, releases and
documents. Among the publications included are
Banking & Monetary Statistics, the Annual
Statistical Digest, Business Conditions Digest and
Business Statistics.
Federal Reserve Board — Statistical Releases
and Historical Data Contains daily, weekly, monthly
and annual releases of foreign exchange rates, selected
interest rates, money stock and debt measures, assets
and liabilities of commercial banks in the United
States, industrial production and capacity utilization,
consumer credit and other statistics.
Federal Reserve Economic Data The FRED II Web site provides
access to regional and national financial and
economic data through a database of over 3,000 U.S.
economic time series. Data can be downloaded into
Microsoft Excel.
Federal Reserve Bank — Historical Information Provides exchange rates certified
by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York for customs
purposes as required by section 522 of the amended
Tariff Act of 1930. These rates are also those required
by the SEC for the integrated disclosure system for
foreign private issuers.
