Federal Forms
Several of the most commonly needed federal forms and instructions are distributed — subject to availability — at library branches from January through April each year. Each branch also has reproducible copies of federal forms and instructions available throughout the year. You may photocopy these items for 15 cents per page.Federal forms distributed at the library include:

- Appropriate instructions

AARP Tax-Aide Program
Free help in preparing and filing state and federal income tax returns is available through the AARP Tax-Aide program. Offered in cooperation with the IRS, the Tax-Aide Program provides free tax assistance services for low- and middle-income taxpayers, with special attention given to those 60 and over.NOTE: 2013 AARP Tax-Aide Program services are available from Late January through April 15. Northern Virginia CASH Campaign
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program, known in Northern Virginia as the Creating Assets, Savings and Hope (CASH) Campaign, offers free income tax preparation services to families and individuals who earned less than $51,000 in 2012. IRS certified volunteers will ensure you receive the maximum tax refund and help determine if you are eligible for the earned income tax credit. Organized by Fairfax County Department of Family ServicesNOTE: 2013 service sites are available from January 26 through April 15. Please see the complete list of locations, dates and times.
