Several of the most commonly needed federal forms are distributed — subject to availability — at library branches from January through April each year.

IMPORTANT: The Internal Revenue Service has informed us that public libraries will not receive the full array of printed tax forms for tax year 2015. In January, branches expect to receive 1040 forms and instructions. Some branches may also receive forms 1040A and 1040EZ and their instructions. The IRS will also provide branches with reproducible copies of 2015 federal forms and instructions. You may photocopy these items for 15 cents per page. Please call branches to verify that they have received a particular form, instruction or publication.

Print copies of forms and publications are also available directly from the IRS by mail: order online; call 1-800-829-3676, TTY 1-800-829-4059; or download forms and publications from the IRS website.

      • Virginia Forms
The Virginia Department of Taxation does not provide handout copies of Virginia tax forms to libraries. However, each library branch has reproducible copies of Virginia forms and instructions. You may photocopy these items for 15 cents per page.
