“Kings Park Library is a special place for generations in our community,” says Helen Ignatenko, the branch manager. “Many of the kids who came to the library's opening now bring their own children to our programs. One of our customers has commented: ‘I was here the day the library opened. By the end of the day, all of the books in the children’s library were gone.’” Kings Park Library today continues to be the busy heart of this community, just as it was back then, 40 years ago. This is a great reason to celebrate!”
The Kings Park Library located, at 9000 Burke Lake Roadin Burke, first opened in October 1972 and was renovated and expanded in 1993.
