The Fairfax County Public Library offers Internet access to assist library customers obtain answers to their information requests. Internet access workstations are available at all library branches to all customers who bring either a Fairfax County Public Library card or identification such as a driver's license or one of these documents. Library branches also offer wireless Internet access. Parents or guardians are responsible for the Internet information accessed by their children.

Access to the Internet is filtered in accordance with Section 42.1-36.1 of the Code of Virginia.

Due to the popularity of Internet access, use is limited to two 30 minutes sessions per day.

Customers may save information to their CD or flash drive. Flash drives are available for purchase at libraries.
