Books returned to the Fairfax County Public Library which are owned by other libraries and stamped with the name of non-Fairfax County Public Library branches are routed to the library's Technical Operations branch. Books without any designation of ownership are kept in the branch's lost and found. Staff in Technical Operations return all Fairfax County Public School books and books owned by the surrounding County Governments daily. All other books are returned weekly by U.S. mail.
