Library volunteers work side by side with staff
in every Library activity. There is an ongoing
need at most branches for help checking books
in and out, sorting and shelving, assisting with
special projects, creating and maintaining databases,
demonstrating new technologies to the public,
answering phones, shelf-reading (Adopt-a-Shelf!),
gardening, and more. We train!
Our volunteers range in age from 12 to 94. Some
do short-term projects, and some stay for 25 years!
We welcome your gift of time, whatever it may
be.
