Position Title: Page Volunteer

Branch: Available at most branches

Department: Page Department

Supervisor: Page Supervisor

Length of Commitment: 6 months to a year

Time Involvement: 3 hours per week (minimum)

Position Summary
:
Responsible for accurately shelving several library formats and subject areas of the Library, plus performing general support work in the Page Department.

Major Responsibilities:
Puts carts in order; shelves paperbacks, edges and dusts shelves, may shelf read and/or shelve carts (particularly JP's, JR's and FIC). Sets up meeting room and other duties as assigned. May do photocopier or computer assignments.

Qualifications:
Must be 14 years of age or older. Must follow direction well. Ability to concentrate and pay attention to details. Ability to lift books and push book carts, bending required. Must be able to work independently after being instructed.
