Position Title: Technology Volunteer

Branch: Available at several branches

Department: Information

Supervisor: Varies

Length of Commitment: 3 months (Minimum)

Time Involvement: 2-3 hours per week.

Position Summary
:
Helps customers use electronic equipment throughout library.

Major Responsibilities:
After completing training, assists customers with Internet, MS Office products, Pharos and Library's homepage. Assures that each piece of equipment is ready for use by the next customer. May also train other volunteers.

Qualifications:
Age 16 or older. Computer background is important, but good interpersonal skills are a must. Previous public service experience (in any field) preferred. Must be able to stand or move about freely for long periods. Note: This is an excellent opportunity for teachers who would like to brush up on the latest technology while helping others.
